Why we built it
In a high-inflation economy, savings that grow in lira can be shrinking in real terms. Most budgeting apps also keep your data on their own servers. Paranı Sıkı Tut was written to fix both: it shows your net worth in three units and never takes your data off your device.
Features
On-device encryption
All data is encrypted with AES-GCM 256. A random data key is wrapped with a key derived from your PIN over 600,000 iterations.
Live rates and gram gold
USD, EUR and GBP rates and the gram-gold price are fetched live, with a clear warning when rates go stale.
Debts in any currency
Track debts and receivables in TRY, USD, EUR, GBP or gold, and post them to your budget in one tap when settled.
Spending limit
The monthly limit bar warns at 80% and 100% and suggests a daily budget for the rest of the month.
Multiple wallets
Cash, bank, credit card, currency and gold wallets, with transfers between them and statement-day tracking.
Backup and export
Password-encrypted backups, JSON restore and Excel-ready CSV.
How your data is protected
PIN
You enter a 4-digit PIN at launch. The PIN itself is never stored.
Key derivation
PBKDF2 derives a key-encryption key (KEK) over 600,000 iterations.
Data key
The KEK unwraps a randomly generated data key (DEK).
Encrypted storage
Records are encrypted with the DEK and stored in the browser. Memory is cleared after 5 idle minutes.
Privacy and safety
- No server: data lives only in your browser, encrypted
- Privacy mode hides every amount with one tap
- The known limit is documented: a 4-digit PIN cannot resist brute force by someone who already has the device
